On December 17 we were happy to welcome Colin Rader to the BRP team as a student architectural intern. Colin, from Ozark, MO, is a fifth-year Architecture student at Drury University. In May 2020, he will graduate with a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor in Business. While attending Drury, Colin had the opportunity to study abroad in Greece for a semester and was a member of Drury’s mentorship program. Some of Colin’s hobbies include going to Table Rock lake and traveling. Colin has been to 25 different countries and lived in Honduras for a year where he volunteered/ taught at a community foundation.

Who would you like to swap places with for a day? “Bill Gates, he has done a lot of cool stuff. Right now, he is reinventing the toilet.”

What's your favorite indoor/outdoor activity to do in Springfield? “I love going on hikes in the Springfield Area.”

Are you are morning person or a night owl? “Both, I'll sleep when I'm dead.”
What's something you want to do in the next year that you've never done before? “Sky dive!”
Favorite Holiday movie? “The one with Bruce Willis, they say it isn't a Christmas movie but it totally is.”
What led you to architecture school? “I actually lived with an architect when I was in Honduras, I think that really got me interested in the field.”
What's your favorite place you've ever visited? “Costa Rica, that's the first country I'd ever visited. I really loved the people there and of course the food .”
What about this internship most excites you? “I'm really excited to learn from my coworkers and be in a very collaborative environment.”
