On Wednesday May 12, 2021, a groundbreaking ceremony was held at the future site of Mission Ridge, a new senior living facility. The site is located at 4349 S. Kansas Avenue in Springfield, MO.


Representatives from Miller Commerce, Edgewood Real Estate Investment Trust, Snyder Construction, BRP Architects, Buxton Kubik Dodd, Declination Design Consultants, and Merrill Gardens participated in the official groundbreaking ceremony.

This senior living community will consist of 47 Independent Living Units, 36 Assisted Living Units, and 24 Memory Care beds. Amenities will include a salon, fitness center, along with multiple activity rooms and will feature a resort style outdoor amenity spaces with a walking trail, fireplace, and an outdoor courtyard.

Post-pandemic design adaption strategies such as an added a visitation room, an exam room, storage for PPE, multiple hand washing stations, and additional balconies for the assisted living units were also implemented into the design to ensure comfort and safety for future residents.


Construction is expected to be complete by Summer 2022.
