On February 3rd, we welcomed Maks Buzhduga, Architectural Designer, to our team.
Maks, originally from Ukraine, moved to Portland, OR, at the age of three and lived there until high school. After graduation, he moved to Springfield. He graduated with a Master of Architecture from Drury University in 2024. He lives with his wife Tanya and their cat Rose. Maks has two older brothers, two older sisters, and three younger brothers. Recently, he’s taken up mountain biking and playing pickleball in his free time.

Who or what inspired you to pursue architecture?
Growing up around the construction industry I really enjoyed seeing buildings come to life and being a part of the prosses. The idea of creating places for people to spend time in and enjoy really resonated with me and that led me to the world or architecture.

“Understand the rules before breaking them.”
What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
Hanging out with family and friends, whether it’s an outdoor activity or just playing board games late into the night.
