BRP designs New Italian Restaurant Coming to Branson Landing

BRP Architects designs New Italian Restaurant Coming to Branson Landing - Ramata Italian

A new Italian fine dining restaurant is coming to Branson. Ramata Italian (pronounced Ra·mà·ta Italian) is remodeling and moving into the former Famous Dave’s location at the Branson Landing, which was home to the barbeque restaurant for fifteen years, since the opening of the landing. Famous Dave’s has since moved to a new location in Branson at 1855 W. 76 Country Blvd.

BRP had the opportunity of designing the remodel of the space from a lodge-themed barbeque joint to a contemporary designed 7,677sf fine dining restaurant. The Ramata Italian restaurant will feature a bar and lounge, dining room, chef’s table and private dining room, an outdoor patio space overlooking Lake Taneycomo, seating a total of 231 guests.

Rick Huffman, HCW’s President & CEO stated, “We are very excited to bring Ramata Italian to Branson Landing, Branson has not had an Italian fine dining establishment, we are ecstatic to fill that need for locals and tourists in southern Missouri.”

A renovation or conversion design process is filled with surprises, says Benjamin Van Eps, BRP Architect and Partner. "The up-front exploration phase of what has been built versus what the original construction documents indicate often requires quick shifts in design direction or re-consideration of the initial design concepts. As designers, we must look past what we see in the as-built conditions and continually think about what is possible."

The Ramata Italian will have a menu featuring homemade pasta, gourmet pizzas, fresh fish flown in from Hawaii, and mouth-watering Italian fare along with Nani C’s Underground Sicilian Meatballs. They will also serve homemade Italian desserts and lunch items such as soups, salads, pizza, pasta, and hand-crafted sandwiches.

The restaurant is currently under construction and is expected to open in Fall 2021.
