Their Vision: The City of Harlingen wanted to develop a convention center with a connected upscale hotel to promote tourism in the area and enhance their community. The Rio Grande Valley has several communities competing for the tourism market and Harlingen wanted to be a significant player by providing a top-notch facility with local south Texas character and style.
